![]() ![]() We did not want these files to be accessible by any offsite computer. This is a huge security flaw and thus the encryption software is rendered useless. The workstations do not have the ability to decrypt a file. ![]() When right clicking on an encrypted file and going to Properties -> Encryption, the encryption key is visible. The files and folders still have the lock icon visible, indicating it is encrypted. Recently, when attempting to copy or email an encrypted file, the file is recognized and opens on a computer that does not have Mcafee Encryption for Files & Folders installed nor have the correct key. In the past, when attempting to copy an encrypted file to either a USB drive or emailing it to an offsite computer, the file would not open nor be recognized by the offsite computer because it was encrypted. Mcaffee Encryption for Files and Folders 4.0.1.322 installed on Windows XP Professional and Windows 7 Professional workstations. EPolicy Orchestrator 4.6.3 on Microsoft SBS 2008 with ~20 domain computers ![]()
